We pride ourselves on exceptional service and expertise in the industry. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Counter Sales and Steel Yard Associate.
Position Overview: As a Counter Sales and Steel Yard Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service while assisting with steel cutting, loading, and stocking. This is a hands-on position that requires physical strength and a willingness to learn. If you’re passionate about the welding and steel industry, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service at the sales counter.
Operate point of sale (POS) software for processing transactions.
Assist customers in selecting and purchasing welding supplies and
steel products.
Cut steel to customer specifications using appropriate equipment.
Load products into customers' vehicles safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized steel yard and stock area.
Perform regular inventory checks and assist with stocking shelves.
Lift heavy materials and products (up to 200lbs) as needed.
Operate Forklift Safely and Responsibly.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
Familiarity with welding supplies and steel products is a plus.
Ability to operate POS software and other basic computer functions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to lift heavy items and work in a physically demanding environment.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to operate a forklift in a safe and responsible manner.
Compensation:
Pay based on experience and willingness to perform the job.
40 hours a week, with potential for overtime.
