The Corinthian Order (Roman) is a grandiose architectural feature. On this project, one of Brockwell’s customers utilized our Roman Corinthian Capital as a stand to accommodate a custom, circular, black glass piece.

Yesterday, Brockwell Incorporated turned 6️⃣ years old!

Within these 6 years, I have learned (and continue to learn) many valuable lessons. Thank you to each person who has helped and supported me along the way. I truly am grateful to you.

The most noticeable attributes of the Ionic Order are more slender proportions and the unique volutes (scrolls) of the capital. This Classical Order of Architecture resembles femininity in design, and Vitruvius noted that the volutes mimicked the curls of a woman’s hair.

In this project, a customer in Richmond, VA utilizes (4) of Brockwell’s Cast Resin 8” Diameter Greek Erechtheum capitals to replace the previously deteriorated ones. As a Full Round, these capitals are load-bearing.

Brockwell offers load-bearing bases that are designed to sit underneath wood column shafts.

This customer utilized (4) of Brockwell’s Load-bearing 18” Order “Attic” base moldings & Vented plinths. These are made in our durable, rot-resistant Composite material.

💭 The vents 🕳️ on the square plinth 🔳 allow for cylindrical airflow 🌀 around the column shaft, as well as, an outlet for water 💦 to escape. These details are important to help preserve exterior wood column shafts 🏛️ for a longer period of time. ⌛️🕓
