Hurricane season may be unpredictable, but preparation isn’t. 🌀
Today, four City of Stuart team members joined a long-term hurricane recovery exercise led by the Martin County Emergency Management Agency , working alongside partners from across the county to strengthen our recovery plans before a storm ever forms.
Milton Leggett, Stephanie Hughey, and Peter Kunen took on the challenges of “Hurricane Sailfish,” focusing on infrastructure recovery and restoring critical services. Meanwhile, Misti Guertin joined municipal leaders from around the region to develop communications strategies that help keep residents informed before, during, and after a storm.
Training exercises like this help ensure that when a real hurricane strikes, our teams are ready to respond, recover, and keep our community moving forward.
