There are so many uses for the Grid-Buddy when installing ceilings, but one guy told us that there were doing grid over the top of existing walls. After the grid was up, they were going to put a corner bead to the grid. His stringline was getting caught on the top of the wall, so he used his Grid-Buddy to shoot a laser right over the top of the wall and was able to do the whole job that way. Just another surprising and great use for the little tool!

The first model of the Grid-Buddy was carved out of wood. Sadly, this broke down and was thrown away, but we did go through 14 different tries as we fine-tuned it. Here’s just a handful that survived, many were picked clean for parts as we tried to develop a tool specifically for a ceiling installer that was easy to use, reliable, and above all useful!
