I would love to know what this little knife has been through. I'm not sure what the owner was cutting with it, how many trips it made through the dishwasher, or how it ended up with such an uneven, worn edge. Whatever the story is, this knife has definitely seen better days.

Fortunately, a worn edge doesn't always mean a knife is ready for the trash. With a little patience and some careful grinding, I was able to work through the uneven spots and bring the cutting edge back into shape. I may never know how it got this way, but at least I can do something about how it cuts.

Wharncliffe or sheepsfoot?

When a customer breaks the tip off a knife, sometimes you work with what is left.

This one came in as a 6 inch knife with the tip missing, so I reshaped the end and gave it a new profile while bringing the edge back.

Not exactly how it left the factory, but it is sharp, useful, and back in service.
