In spite of the short Thanksgiving week, we got a great deal done in just three days. The foundation perimeter was stoned and backfilled, the property was graded, and the waterline was run to the street. Moreover, the sewer line was connected through the foundation, the sump line was extended to the street, and the driveway was stoned. We also installed the beams(Builders Steel) and posts, the mud sill, and commenced the installation of floor joists. Our appreciation goes out again to Bob Ignotowitz for his considerable assistance with excavation and backfill. The site's transformation is remarkable. We are grateful for the support of our community partners, including Carter Lumber, who provided the floor joists, and StoneCo Ottawa Lake, who supplied the aggregate for foundation and driveway.

We have had a busy start to the year.
After the property survey, the excavation started and prep work for the foundation. It all starts with the footers. A big thank you to Bob Ignotowitz-excavation, James Hunt and crew, Hall Concrete Walls- for help pouring the footers, Je’quan Hamilton-Hite concrete pumping and Stevenson Building supply-concrete. All of these men took the time to talk to our students about their careers.

I would like recognize and appreciate the outstanding service provided by Kevin Weilnau and Nathan from GB Warnke & Associates Land Surveying. Kevin's survey of our property was accompanied by a comprehensive classroom presentation on the surveying profession, featuring pertinent research and property-specific details. An onsite walkthrough illustrating surveying methods for our project completed the educational experience. Thank you for generously sharing your professional insights with our students.
