Red's Trading Post Established in 1953 by Frank R. "Red" Stovall, Red's Trading Post buys, sells and trades new and us Stovall.

Red's Trading Post began as Red's Hilltop Trading Post in Mill City, OR, circa 1950 by Frank R. When construction workers on the Detroit Dam began to move to The Dalles for the next big project, so did Red. The first RTP The Dalles site opened for business in 1953. The entire business burned to the ground in December 1959. Red rebuilt and concentrated on plumbing, electrical and hardware trade. Re

d's son, Eric, joined the business in 1980 and continues to operate at the new location at 2610 W. 2nd street. In addition to a broad selection of plumbing and electrical supplies, Red's provides the Mid-Columbia area with many hard-to-find and unique items, both new and used. Stop in any time Monday - Saturday, 8 - 5, enjoy a handful of free peanuts, and look around.

Thanks to all of our loyal customers through the years. A special shout out to the friends and family who helped us with our sale and clearing the property. We appreciate all of you more than you’ll ever know.

An update on a free appliance: we had to move a free refrigerator to the parking lot without scrubbing it down. I’m going to share photos of the newly cleaned item. She’s pre-decorated, both freezer and refrigerator work, AND her bottom shelf is supported by a Red’s Trading Post pipe fitting. Who could ask for more? She’d be a great beverage fridge. Come take her. She wants a home!
