A rainy start to the Earth Day Festival at the Baltimore County Agricultural Center today. Skies are supposed to clear this afternoon. I’ve never been a vendor at a rain event before. The tent works well but I wish It had sides!

Picked up four rounds today- cherry, walnut, beech and palonia - at Camp Small, Baltimore City’s saw mill run by Rec and Parks. I should get a good eight to 10 bowls from this batch plus more for utensils, ornaments and vases.

I enjoy adding colors to a simple top. It enhances the movement and adds a bit of surprise. This top is made from Tree of Heaven, a w**d tree around here, but it has a distinct reddish-brown hue.
