To old, new, and future customers:
Kent here - Salle and I want to clarify why Kent’s Tools requires, and deeply appreciates, that everyone in the store wear a mask, even as we head into 2027.
In the height of Covid, we discovered that Salle has lung cancer.
Luckily, we were fortunate to be able to stay open and Covid-free by taking some extra precautions. These measures have undoubtedly contributed to the vitality that Salle has today.
During the pandemic, we implemented some simple measures in an effort to provide Salle, our employees - and every immunocompromised member of our community - with a layer of protection while they shop with us.
Some of our core precautions include the following:
Masks - Employees wear N-95 masks to protect the customers they assist. Customers are required to wear light-duty masks while indoors, which are always provided for free.
We keep our door handles, counters, restrooms, and all high-touch surfaces clean and sanitized.
At the cash register, we have “dirty” and “clean” containers for used & unused pens.
Hand sanitizing stations are maintained throughout the store.
We clean & sanitize the shopping bins between each customer to ensure that you always receive a clean bin while you shop.
Salle and I have attributed our ability to stay well to these measures. We continue to take these precautions because of Salle’s cancer and our age. No Covid; No flus; No colds.
We hope that these safeguards demonstrate to our community that we care. You can rest assured in knowing that we are doing everything within our power to create a safe environment for our most vulnerable community members.
