I've been putting this announcement off because it deeply saddens me and its been hard to admit it but here goes.
Jones Hardware closed the End of December, 2021. TDOT has scheduled a large construction plan that replaces the bridge coming into town and the intersection of Unicoi Dr. and 107.
The construction plans show a 50' right of way for the State that claims half of the parking lot from 107 to North Indian Creek. That leaves no access to the parking spots. They also want to lease space on the north end of the building for 3 years for construction lay-down (That's where our deliveries are off loaded) and extends beyond the back gates. The sign will have to come down for the new intersection and 2 of the 3 entrances will be eliminated. This effectively restricts any hardware store business. No way to park and no way to get semi-truck deliveries.

In order to sell off the remaining inventory, an absolute auction will be held on Jan 22nd at 10am. Look for the signs.
