Trend report 🧱🌱 Slim, Linear Brick Paving and Steps

We’ve been loving all of the projects featuring paving, steps, and landscape elements with long, linear architectural brick. These sleek and modern lines look great on walls, but they also play brilliantly in landscape and hardscape. PBM has a range of linear bricks from local, domestic, and international vendors in traditional terracottas, greys, creams, and more.

It was time for an upgrade… our Mountain View Masonry Showroom is an ever-changing source of inspiration for industry professionals and homeowners; however, the fountain that sits front and center remained unchanged since the construction of this space. Recently, we completed a few major upgrades, one of which was a face lift of our circular stone fountain. Completely re-done in our Willow Creek Mosaic Veneer (with seamless edges all the way around, keeping it sleek and new without the addition of a cap), this fountain now feels current, lighter, brighter, and lets the sculptural stone in the center shine.

This project truly showcases how upgrading one element can allow existing structures to feel brand new again.

Presenting The Horse Ranch: a residence, guest house, and horse barn all tied together with gold limestone thin veneer from PBM. This project is situated right on the edge of San Martin and Gilroy, but it stands above the other ranches, stables, and properties in the area with its distinctive stone arches and designer touches. The Horse Ranch is a true masterclass in masonry, and we are highlighting some of these spectacular detail moments: arches indoors and out, stables framed with stone in a formation that references Roman groin vaults, and artful integration with beams, doors, and other wood elements.

It’s and the perfect time to talk about Reclaimed Cobblestone! PBM is proud to supply a range of reclaimed materials, from centuries old Chicago brick to cobbles straight from the old streets of San Francisco. Using reclaimed materials is a beautiful, full circle way of reducing waste, honoring history, staying green, and infusing that imperfectly perfect charm into any project. Today we are highlighting the SF Reclaimed Cobblestones we offer; when eras-old streets in the city get replaced and those stone cobbles come up, we get the call. A stunning blend of greys, beiges, creams, and charcoals, these can be used for driveways and entryways as pictured here, and even as material for gates, columns, and decorative features. Happy 🪨 we will never get over the use of our Willow Creek Thin Veneer and Capitola Buff Paving in the Stone Villa project; these corners and passageway moments are some of our favorite shots of the property, as we can see the colors of the material in the foreground melt into and seamlessly complement the surrounding landscape. This is contextual design at its finest.
