I have not posted on Image Woodwerks for quite a while. I had not felt well enough to be motivated enough to do much woodworking. Mostly I have made some small projects that I donated for a cancer benefit and a benefit for a friend who had a heart transplant.

Well I have done some cleaning and organizing but have only made a dent in that.

This post is about new glitter in my shop. The glitter is not wood but rather a metal object, a Model T body that Kameron Dickman is building as a hot rod out of. My part of the build is making a custom wood frame for his top. He wants something in between the flat Model T roof and a Model A top. I have never done one so I’m guessing it will be interesting. This might be the only one I build unless it goes well, turns out nice and is fun to build.

Update: 9 days left for this fundraising assistance to Chasing Daylight and getting a free spreader with any charcuterie/cutting board sold. If you will be needing a wedding/anniversary/birthday gift, these are one of a kind/unique gifts.

Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter is fundraising to help pay for surgery on a cat that had a gunshot wound to his face and has a broken jaw.

For the next 2 weeks all charcuterie boards purchased will be payed as follows: you will write a check for 25% of the cost of the board to Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter and a separate payment to me for the other 75%. Therefore the donation will be in your name.

I presently have 19 boards available. The following pictures are of one that was recently finished.

Each one will come with a handcrafted spreader for soft cheese, butter, jams, etc.

Thank you in advance in what ever way you help Chasing Daylight in there fundraising for this surgery.

I had a few small boards with some cool grain so I made some spreaders (walnut, cherry, hard maple, spalted maple) for soft cheese, jams, etc. They bath in food grade mineral oil for about 10 minutes or so and then sanded to 2000 grit. Then a conditioner is applied made by Wandering Sheep Beard and Body Care that is mineral oil, orange oil and local beeswax. These go great with my charcuterie boards. This message is for anyone wanting an Image Woodwerks charcuterie/cutting board for yourself or for a gift (wedding, birthday, anniversary, etc) sometime this year…….as a result of me turning 70 soon I’m going to give away a “spreader” with each charcuterie board purchase. These come in a variety of wood species, shapes and sizes. Each one takes 25-30 minutes to make and just like the boards are sanded to 2000 grit. Depending on the wood grain I sell them for $10-18. The following pictures show some of the ones that I have made.

Image Woodwerks will be at the B**r Shop for their inaugural Winter Blues Buster on January 21 from 12-5. Some of what I have had time to make so far is pizza cutters, charcuterie/cutting boards, live edge walnut framed mirror and a live edge walnut clock. There are multiple vendors and there will be something for everyone. Music, b**r, cool stuff to buy, some stuff to win….how can you resist! The B**r Shop accepts donations for Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter, an amazing shelter in Tomah. Hope to see you all there!
