Rain is coming, so we’re temporarily sealing cracks in this foam roof until the full replacement begins in a few weeks.
This roof is scheduled for a complete foam tear-off and a brand-new spray foam roofing system. These repairs are not intended to be permanent—they’re simply helping protect the home from upcoming rain until the new roof can be installed.
We’re using Category 5 sealant from Tower Sealants to seal the problem areas.
Tim also shares a simple pro tip for keeping your hands clean and saving an opened tube of caulk:
Wear two pairs of disposable gloves while spreading the sealant. When you’re finished, remove the first glove directly over the tube opening, then cover it with the second glove. It seals the tube for reuse and keeps the mess off your hands!
