Well,I attempted to open this morning, but the roads are horrible and I'm not willing to put my guys or myself at risk. So we won't be opening this morning. I'm sorry for any inconvenience but it is best to stay home. If the weather breaks, I might open so please call first. Stay safe. Ron

It's hard to believe it's already a year since I wrote last year's New Years message. It is so true that the older you get, the faster time flies! The one thing that I love about this area, is that with all of the lunacy we see daily in the world, everyone around here still treats everybody else with love and respect. Dealing with people all the time, I see it on a daily basis, and for that, I am very thankful. Overall, I have had a great year. Here at the store, thanks to you, we have kept the lights on for another year. The guys have stayed healthy, and we've added a few more to the crew. At home, except for the occasional cold or flu, we've all stayed healthy. Our Grandkids are all growing so fast and bring me more joy then they can possibly understand. We just wished they lived closer so we could see them more often. Barb and I are truly Blessed. So from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for supporting us all these years, and hope and Pray everyone has a Happy and Healthy New Year. Ron

Today is one of my favorite days of the year. It is customer appreciation day. We have lunch for you as a way of thanking you for your support and kindness through out the year. So stop in, pick up any last minute gifts, or just grab some lunch and say hi. Just come in before it runs out! Ron

Once again this year, we are collecting toys for needy families here in Sussex county who are struggling so their children can have a nice Christmas. We are accepting new, unwrapped toys so some deserving children can have a gift on Christmas morning. So please feel free to stop in anytime to drop gifts off and put a smile on a child's face this year. Ron

As I sit here this morning writing my yearly Thanksgiving post, my message is the same as every year. This past week, we had the "high" of visiting my daughter Deb's family in S.C., and the "low" of flying home last night and going straight to a funeral home for the service of a life long friend to both Barb and I who died unexpectedly. On the plane I thought about how you can make all of the plans to do things, but we never know when it will all end. So please, tomorrow shut off the phones and spend quality time with your friends and loved ones. As always, we will be closed so we can all enjoy the day with our families. Barb and I will be spending it with Dan and Melissa and thanking God for every blessing in our lives. Please enjoy yours. See you Friday. Ron

Once again I want to take a minute and thank everyone that voted for us in the 2025 Best in County awards in the NJ Herald. Once again you picked us as your favorite Hardware Store. It truly means a lot to me that you take time out of your busy days to support us. I know we're not perfect, but it tells me we are at least doing the best we can by trying to make everyone's shopping experience pleasant. So thank you again, and I hope we can continue to live up to your expectations. Ron

It's hard to believe another year has come and gone. It's true- the older you get, the faster it goes! It was a good year for us. At the store, thanks to all of you, we kept the lights on for another year, and all of us stayed healthy except for the occasional cold or flu. I'm also extremely honored by the fact that once again this year we were voted Best Hardware Store in the County by you, but we were also honored by Stihl and Hardware Building Supply magazine, an industry trade group as "Best Hardware Store in the State" for 2024, which is based on innovation, performance, community service, and customer reviews. It shows me that although we're not perfect, we're doing something right. On the personnel side, Dan's family is doing good and our granddaughter is continuing to do well in college. Deb's family has bought a house in SC, and the boys are doing great, and Lauren's family is doing great. She started a new job, her oldest started a new school, and the twins are already 16 months old, and starting to develop their own personalities. Barb and I are truly Blessed. I hope everyone had a good year, and here's wishing everyone a very Happy and Healthy New Year. Ron

Just want to take a moment and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday. Over the last few weeks, Barb and I have traveled to both of our Daughter's Families to celebrate since neither of them live locally. Tomorrow afternoon we will get together with our son and his family. For me it has been a busy, but wonderful couple of weeks. I hope you all have a wonderful day with your family and friends. We will be open today until 2:00 so all of us can begin the Holiday. So again, safe travels, and Merry Christmas.
