Dissatisfied with many of the poorly designed and outdated tools with which pro mechanics have been encumbered, Master Service Manager and Bicycle Mechanic Brett Flemming decided he could design and build better bicycle tools. It seemed many of the tools mechanics utilize are either cheaply made, or designed by folks that don’t make their livings servicing bicycles. So a few years ago he offered his ideas, designs and feedback to the “Most Popular” bicycle tool company; they weren’t interested! So, Brett decided to offer an “alternative” line of bicycle repair tools conceived by him and developed within one of the busiest bicycle service operations in the Industry: The Bike Gallery (Brett’s former day job) in Portland, Oregon www.bikegallery.com
The result is a selective line of tools used and respected by top mechanics around the world, who are motivated to work efficiently. Only a handful of our tools are subcontracted out to C.N.C. “job shops”. None of our tools are made “offshore”, rather, the skilled EVT team personally hand build, fit and test nearly every part of every tool! Almost all of our tools are made by hand on “manual” machines, beautiful, magnificently built machines, many of which are 50 years old or more! (Restored and reconditioned by yours truly). Brett enjoys keeping alive a fine and noble tradition by learning and utilizing time-tested machining practices learned from Master Machinists. Remember, ALL of the beautifully machined parts on EVERYTHING* made before 1970 or so, were made on Manual Machines...by machinists. Our tools reflect precision, workmanship and ruggedness simply not found on our competitors products. Try them out and rest assured that you have no risk purchasing tools from E.V.T. If, for any reason you don’t fall in love a tool you purchase, just return it for a full refund within 30 days after receipt...Including freight BOTH ways!
