Schmidt's and Serafine's We are Waterbury's oldest hardware store. Since the 1920's our hardware, garden shop and power rental Charles Schmidt Jr. And they still deliver.

used to drive around the city in a truck and take orders directly from customers. Then he'd deliver the goods next week when he returned. And in a way that is what Schmidt's and Serafines represents - old school - where values, honesty and hard work rule the day. They are still driven by the values of the men and woman that preceded them in the business. Listen to Charles Schmidt's grandson, Jeff.

"If somebody wants 10 bags of topsoil we'll run it up to them," Jeff Schmidt said. "And if someone wants a propane grill we'll deliver it to their deck, and take the old one away."The world is a rapidly changing place, but at Schmidt's and Serafine's, the more world changes, the more they stay the same.Value, service, honesty and trust.
