This past week we attended IFE 2024. It is a huge fastener expo with many suppliers. I also have a 14 year old who is now driving and it won't be long before he is off on his own. It got us thinking what kind of a kit could we offer to those who are just starting their adult life. Maybe it is a couple screwdrivers and some screws. Maybe it is a tie pressure gauge and a box of rags.

When you were a young adult, what do you wish you had right away or maybe you "borrowed" from your dad/Mom on your way out the door?

As the son of Scot Hunemuller, I am proud to be part of his legacy at Scot's Supply. Now, I am not Dad but I like to think that I have some of his drive. Today, well now yesterday, Aug 22 is Dad's Birthday and to be honest it has been tough. It was a day of, "what would Dad have done?" He didn't like computers so this post is definitely not him lol. Since my dad's passing in 2015, I have been committed to helping our customers and have been working closely with my mom to ensure our success.

I have been playing around with some ideas that I think Dad would be proud of. I would like to share some of these ideas. These are nothing that is for sure but some items I have thought hard on.
1. Mobile hose van for on site hydraulic hose repair.
2. 2nd store in Iowa.
3. New product line to compliment our other lines.
4. New product line that our community needs that we don't already have.
I want to find out what gaps our customers have that we may be able to help with. I am eager to hear the ideas and suggestions you have.

Good Morning, we wanted to update everyone. We are now full staff. We will continue to limit our hours (Mon-Fri. 8a-4:30p and Sat 9am-12pm) and keep our lobby closed for the safety of our staff and customers. We are following the current recommendations set out by the Iowa Department of Public Health. Please call us with your orders at 319-235-9620 and we will let you know how to pick up your order. If an emergency happens after hours, you can reach Brian at 319-239-6688. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Good Afternoon Facebook,

We have had possible exposure to the COVID-19 Virus.

We do not have anyone sick at this time.

Out of an abundance of caution we are closing our lobby and changing our hours.

During this time, our hours will be
Monday-Friday 8-11 and 12-3
Closed Saturday and Sunday
This will give us time to sanitize our facility.

If you still need assistance, please call your salesman or 319-235-9620.
If it is after hours please call 319-239-6688

We are unsure when we will reopen for normal business. This will depend on recommendations from the Iowa Department of Public Health, if people get sick and when symptoms subside. We will keep everyone informed.
