In 1946, the County Materials Family of Companies began as a concrete block and aggregate producer. Over the past 80 years, our dedication to quality and our enhanced production capacity have enabled us to tackle some of the Midwest’s largest infrastructure projects.
A major example is our work on the Mile Long Bridge project in Illinois. County Prestress & Precast manufactured and delivered 523 bridge girders supporting a structure that crosses over two major railroads, three water sources, local roads, and a distribution center. With more than 150,000 vehicles traveling the bridge each day, the strength and reliability of prestressed girders are essential.
