The Freedom Celebration is in full swing here in Westville!!! Events have been happening all week long and more to come this weekend. The big event for the store is Saturday that’s tomorrow folks. ITS FRIDAYS WITH FIFI
June 8–14th is going to be quite the week here in Westville!! It’s the Freedom Celebration going on every day. There’s a sign on the back door of the store with the happenings and times. Got my red white and blue beads ready for the big day here at the store on June 13th. The Humans here till me the store is also celebrating 80 years —1946-2026 with an Open House on Saturday June 13th, I hear the elusive Vic Latoz will be in the store from 8:00 - 10:30 in the morning. Do drop in say Hi to Vic and sign yourself up for the raffle prizes. The grand prize is going to be a PK Kitchen charcoal grill there will be additional raffle items besides the grill. Looking forward to seeing you here on the 13th. I might even add a raffle item.

Just a reminder for those of you who are still working on your gardens. There’s some onion plants with good solid bulbs: Yellow Granex, Candy, Sweet Red, and White Bermuda plus Yukon Gold potatoes which are starting to sprout some roots.

ITS FRIDAYS WITH FIFI
Memorial Day is the day to remember those who gave their lives for our freedoms and those family members & friends who meant so much to us. On Monday let’s all take a few minutes and thank God those people were here for us. Memorial Day is also the beginning of summer fun and BBQ season. Just so happens the store has plenty of rubs and sauces, pellets, and BBQ accessories. Do stop in and take a look around. Just a reminder the store will be closed on Memorial Day. Seems the Humans here want to enjoy some of that Summer Fun and BBQ! As for me I’ll be chilling out here at the store enjoying the peace and quiet.

ITS FRIDAYS WITH FIFI
With the warmer weather finally appearing also comes those bugs who like to bite Humans and the weeds known as poison ivy, oak, and sumac. The store just happens to have soap bars made especially to solve those problems if they should occur. There’s the Don’t Bug Me bar which you rub on before you go out. Keeps the bugs from biting you. Then there’s the Poison Ivy bar which will dry it up and keep it from spreading. The comments have all been very positive about both products. They sell fast once the season hits. Been thinking maybe I should move a bar of Don’t Bug Me closer to me when I’m having one of those days where I’m not a very nice girl.

Heard some folks here at the store talking about May Day which is today May 1. Guess it’s an old European custom of secretly leaving baskets of flowers or treats on their neighbors door k***s. Sounds like a fun thing to do.
