🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 🚧

⚠️ Union Road at Hwy 76 will be temporarily closed starting August 28th. ⚠️

At the August 21st Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, Resolution 25-13 was approved to temporarily close Union Road at the State Route 76 intersection. This decision was made in response to safety concerns, as the intersection currently ranks one of the highest in crash rates citywide.

This closure will remain in effect until a permanent solution is approved and implemented. The City is actively working with TDOT and stakeholders to develop long-term improvements.

⚠️ Signage and traffic control measures will be installed before the closure on Thursday, August 28th.

↩️Detour Route: To access Union Road from Hwy 76, take Harpers Way off Union Road, then follow Loves Lane to Hwy 76.

Please plan accordingly and allow extra travel time. More information will be shared as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience as we prioritize public safety!
