Tattooing Joins the Fine Arts Curriculum at ✨
We’re beyond proud of painter, tattoo artist, and now RISD professor for leading the charge in tattoo history by introducing the first-ever tattoo course at the Rhode Island School of Design.
This is more than just a personal milestone , it’s a monumental win for the entire tattoo industry. By securing tattooing a place in RISD’s academic curriculum, Adam is helping bridge the gap between traditional fine art and tattoo culture proving that tattooing is not a trend, but one of the oldest, most respected forms of human expression.
This course is opening the doors for young artists to learn the craft in a professional, artistic environment, to understand that tattooing is technique, discipline, storytelling, and yes …fine art.
We’ve always believed tattoo artists deserve a seat at the table in the mainstream art world and this is exactly what that looks like.
