This role will be based out of our Wilmington, NC Ace Retail Store

Wrigglesworth Ace Hardware is in search of a Sales Associate who will have a fulfilling day working with customers in a friendly environment. Responsibilities include servicing customers throughout the store and offering the best products to help support customer needs. The ideal candidate will have an eagerness to offer ideas, seek solutions, and give advice and expertise to help build a relationship with the customer and support the overall business. It would be great if you had hardware store or general building experience, but do not hesitate to apply if you don’t, we believe in teaching and developing our team.
Responsibilities
Help Responsible for unloading incoming trucks and putting away merchandise as scheduled by Store Manager.
Maintain your assigned department: Keep clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store leadership. Cooperate with others and work well as part of a retail team, for example actively participate in daily huddle meetings, share ideas for improvement with management.
Restock merchandise displays as needed, maintaining bin tags, item placement, and assign organization within the store floor. watch end caps and side wings.
Embrace and possess an eagerness to learn and to help serve the customer, answering questions, offering solutions, and providing world-class customer service each and every visit.
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment, cleaning as you go, utilizing stores best practices for processes and procedures, and identifying and collaborating to continually improve areas of opportunity.
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
Navigate and analyze data and information to determine customer needs, interests, concerns, and the potential for new products and services.
Welcome and give feedback to continuously improve the customer experience and strengthen the overall business of the store.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members
Skilled at providing prompt, friendly, and attentive customer service
Strong organizational skills with a passion for details
Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others
Proven track record of being a team player
Knowledge and experience of various departments are strongly desired.
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
Availability must be flexible including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills are a plus
Physical Requirements
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties
Move and handle merchandise up to 40 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth
