What an experience! 🇨🇭🇩🇪🧡
Touring the STIHL chain plant in Switzerland and the guide bar and chainsaw plant in Germany was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Seeing firsthand the pride that goes into STIHL products—and how much they value their employees, customers, and dealers—was truly incredible.
Every day brought something new. We toured the STIHL Museum and Brand World, met some amazing people and STIHL leadership from Virginia Beach, Germany, and Switzerland, and made some great new friends along the way.
One of the highlights was spending time in the Black Forest, where we had the opportunity to cut down large pine trees using some of STIHL’s newest chainsaws that aren’t even available to consumers yet! 🌲🪚 We even received certificates of achievement for felling trees in the Black Forest and had lunch in a 150-year-old cottage there. Definitely not your average day at work!
One of the many gifts we received was a one of a kind commemorative guide bar personally signed by 94-year-old Hans Peter Stihl, son of STIHL founder Andreas Stihl. This bar was designed especially for the 12 winning U.S. dealers on this trip…something we will treasure for years to come!
And of course, we couldn’t go all the way to Germany without experiencing Oktoberfest in Stuttgart on our final night. 🍻🇩🇪 What a way to end an unforgettable week!
From Switzerland to Germany to the Black Forest, there was truly never a dull moment. We’re incredibly grateful to STIHL for this opportunity and proud that Northside Power Equipment earned a place among the 12 U.S. dealers selected for this experience.
