This Chevy (early 2000s) One-Ton 3500 with a 454 big block has served us well through the years. She was a trusted companion for miles and miles of deliveries. She made her last delivery yesterday, our little mascot Farmall Cub - Cubby.

If you’d like Big B***y Judy to be your new trusty steed, come check her out at the Wright City Hardware auction on August 15th.

Cubby will be on the auction block as well.

A Wright City staple since 1937 is closing. Wright City Hardware & General Store said competition from chain stores and online shopping led to the decision.

June 19th will be Wright City Hardware & General Stores last normal day of operation. We will be liquidating all inventory and fixtures, and closing the store within the next few weeks.

As long-time members of this community - we understand the importance of local, independently owned businesses in small towns. We are the #1 cheerleaders of local schools, children, and philanthropies.

To put it simply, big box stores, chains & online shopping are able to saturate the market and conveniently ship to your front door. Quite literally, they take customers away from your mom and pop shops all over the United States every day. Shops like us, right here on North Elm Street in Wright City, since 1937.
