Why do service dogs wear booties/dog shoes....To protect their paws of course!

Did you know that most ice melt products marketed as “pet safe” aren’t that safe? Many of these products contain magnesium chloride, which is harmful to animals that lick or ingest it and can even cause burns on the skin.

Take one look at the back label of almost all “pet safe” ice melts and you’ll find warnings about ingestion, eye irritation, and skin contact.

You can't go wrong with a granular ice melt safe for pets that are made of naturally occurring minerals and don’t contain any chloride or sodium compounds. It’s safe for concrete patios and driveways, but it also melts snow quickly without damaging the underlying surface.

SAFE PAW is a pet-friendly, environmentally safe ice melt won’t harm your pet, even if they ingest it. Better still, it is safe for plants, waterways, and concrete. Safe Paw has the scientific reports to prove its safety.

Healthy Christmas Cookies for your best friend! Double or triple a batch and impress your friends who have dogs with cookies that they can't judge! :D

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 1 tray

Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour (you can substitute with regular flour for a whiter dough)
2 cups rolled oat flour
2 eggs
2 tbsp melted coconut oil
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Combine all ingredients in food processor or stand mixer. Add flour as necessary until dough is no longer sticky and is ready to roll out.

To create doughs of different colors, divide into separate bowls and add natural food coloring.

Keep dough covered to prevent drying between batches. You can rehydrate dough with a little coconut oil as needed.

Bake at 350º for 20 minutes and let cool before serving.

Notes:
This dough refrigerates up to 1 week, and freezes for 3 months.
