Every pressure treated board starts its life soaked in chemicals. And over time those chemicals go somewhere...into the soil, into the structure, into the environment around it.

LumberCon's concrete lumber requires zero chemical treatment for insects, ground contact, or below grade use. Nothing leaches. Nothing degrades.

The span capacity you spec on day one is the same span capacity performing decades later.

For architects and builders who care about what goes into a project and what comes out of it, LumberCon is worth a look.

This Memorial Day, we’re taking a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Today is about more than the long weekend. It’s about gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy, the memories we get to make with the people we love, and the sacrifices that made those moments possible.

Wishing everyone a meaningful Memorial Day spent reflecting, remembering, and appreciating what truly matters.

Most decking materials ask you to choose between looking good and doing good. 🌿
Concrete decking doesn't make you pick.

No trees harvested.
No chemicals leaching into the soil.
No boards to replace every few seasons.

Just a surface that holds its strength, holds its look, and holds up its end of the deal for the long haul.

What most people don't realize is that rooftop decking isn't just a design decision. It's a code decision. Most municipalities require rooftop surfaces to meet specific fire rating standards, and not every decking material makes the cut.

Concrete does.

LumberCon concrete decking is noncombustible by nature, which means it holds up to fire rating requirements that wood and most composite materials simply can't meet.

For builders and project managers working on rooftop applications, that's not a nice-to-have. That's the difference between a project getting approved and one that doesn't.
Great design and code compliance.

This New York City build has both.

That warm wood look? That's concrete. 🤎
LumberCon decking gives you the beauty of wood without cutting a single tree. No harvesting, no chemical treatments, no boards ending up in a landfill a few years down the road. Just a clean, durable surface that holds up against the heat, the sun, and the seasons.
Concrete decking isn't just the smarter choice for your home. It's the smarter choice for the land around it. And when your backyard looks like this, that matters.

Concrete decking isn't just for backyard builds.

Over water. On rooftops. Along public walkways.

These are the applications where material choice really matters, and where wood and composite tend to fall short fast.

Moisture, UV exposure, heavy foot traffic, freeze-thaw cycles. LumberCon concrete decking handles the conditions that other materials have to be babied through.

If your project lives in a challenging environment, that's exactly where concrete decking was made to shine.

May is Deck Safety Month® and we are talking about something most homeowners never think about. Span capacity.

Span capacity is what determines how much weight and load your deck can actually handle. And when the material holding it all together can rot, warp, or degrade over time, that capacity drops.

LumberCon concrete planks have a greater span capacity than same size wood lumber and they hold that strength for decades.

No chemical breakdown, no seasonal warping, no guessing whether your deck is still as strong as the day it was built.

A safe deck starts with the right material. 🌿

Check Your Deck® this May and make sure what is underneath is built to last.

Span capacity is one of the first questions builders ask, so Karli broke it down live at a Pennsylvania Parks and Rec Show.

A LumberCon 2x8 spans up to 72 inches on residential applications. That's 6 feet between supports. A standard pine 2x8? Maxes out at 24 inches.

The 5/4" board spans up to 36 inches residential, which still outperforms what most traditional materials can do at that thickness.

More span means fewer joists, less material, and a cleaner build overall. That's not just a performance win, it's a cost and labor win too.

When the view is this good, your deck better keep up.

We had some planks. We had a garden.
You can probably see where this is going. 🌱

Turns out our concrete planks and garden blocks make a pretty incredible raised bed.

Sturdy, clean, and built to handle whatever the seasons throw at it.

No rot. No warping. No "guess I'm replacing this again next spring."

LumberCon planks go beyond the deck.

These stair treads are a great example of what concrete can do indoors. Clean, modern, and built to handle the kind of daily foot traffic that would wear other materials down fast.

And the finish you see here? Custom.

LumberCon concrete planks are customizable, meaning the color and finish can be dialed in to fit the aesthetic vision of the space, whether that's a warm natural tone, something more modern, or anything in between.
