Two lumberjacks take a break during the spring pulpwood drive in 1943 for the Brown company up in the Kennebago River and Mooselookmeguntic Lake in Maine. Loggers had the task of guiding thousands of heavy logs on the spring pulpwood drive. With the use of spiked shoes and pikes. The loggers lived in a camp during this time, drying their clothes over the fire each nite.
