RMC are leaders in product innovation

The latest addition to the Rubio Monocoat product range is the new RMC Oil Varnish 2C, which is solvent and water-free oil that can be used to give a long lasting satin finish to wooden surfaces oiled with RMC. Our Oil Varnish 2C creates a scratch free layer on top of the RMC Oil Plus 2C, creating a warm, deep finish. The Oil Varnish gives a stronger, more durable finish in one single layer, and should be used in combination with RMC Oil Plus 2 C. If the colour of the surface also needs to be restored, this can be done with RMC Oil Plus 2C, in the colour the surface was originally treated with.

We have also recently launched the Rubio® Monocoat LED Oil, which is a hardwax oil for the finishing of wooden floors and furniture, specially designed for instant curing with LED technology. Just like all Rubio® Monocoat oils, RMC LED Oil is based on the well-known RMC technology of molecular bonding and combines, as such, the unique characteristics of the RMC oils with the advantages of LED-curing oil technology.

The 40 colours can be cured with handheld, portable LED machines, designed for an instant curing, or through our oiling line (See below) which provides a much faster turnaround time, giving a stronger and even more durable finish to the wood finish for those high traffic areas.

RMC Africa has recently launched a pre-finishing oiling service, ideal for flooring companies and shop-fitters. This industrial oiling line offering is available in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Installers can now work with pre-finished floor panels, minimising time spent on site. Project managers and designers can look forward to reduced labour costs and risk of damage to unfinished floors.

The RMC products are applied to any prepared wood with a single coating, which reveals and complements the natural grain and patina of the wood. The next generation unique Molecular Bonding Technology ensures a durable and affordable solution, with no-film forming, ideal for the harsh weather conditions in Africa (Water & Heat resistant). This fast curing solution, ensures no overlaps can be formed, and colour consistency throughout. Due to this revolutionary technology, users can also easily maintain, or repair surfaces, without having to re-do the entire area.

This ground-breaking and innovative bonding technology provides a very high spread rate (Average spread rate 50 m²/L), which makes it a highly affordable product with only one layer (Monocoat) required. The single layer application also reduces labour costs.
