The Rubio Monocoat Makers Build-off returns as a standout attraction at WoodEX for Africa, hosted at the Gallagher Convention Centre from the 9 – 11 June from 10:00 - 17:00 daily.

This high-energy competition brings together three skilled makers - Brandon Scheepers MADE. Dot Greg Stock Greg stock and Warren Turnbull Hutch Custom - to go head-to-head in a demanding three-day furniture build-off challenge.

Armed with top-tier tools and supported by leading industry sponsors, the competitors must design and build standout furniture pieces under tight time constraints.

Working with solid wood and veneer, each maker will showcase craftsmanship, efficiency, and creativity. All pieces will be finished and protected with Rubio Monocoat’s Oil Plus 2C, highlighting both aesthetics and durability.

With only three days on the clock, the pressure will be intense. Precision, planning, and ex*****on will determine success. As the clock counts down, the question remains: who will rise above the competition and be crowned the 2026 Rubio Monocoat Makers Build-off champion?
