3 months ago I wanted to see what happens when real quantum hardware becomes part of an agricultural LLM pipeline.

The result was DARJYO-Agri-1B-Quantum, that uses live Quantum measurement outcomes from IBM Quantum's ibm_kingston (156-qubit Heron r2) to directly influence a classical 1B-parameter agricultural language model during inference bringing quantum-generated information into an agricultural AI workflow.

Architecture:
1. A 4-qubit quantum circuit runs on a real QPU.
2. The measurement outcome is mapped deterministically to a prompt modification.
3. This quantum-conditioned prompt is then fed to a frozen LLM (darjyo-agri-1b).
4. The result is a text output that varies with the quantum state.

Technical takeaways:
*Real Hardware: Not a simulator, nor a conceptual idea, these are real superconducting qubits.
*Measurable Effect: All 8 quantum-conditioned trials produced outputs different from baseline inference.
*Statistical Confidence: Fisher's exact test gives a p-value of 0.000078 (Cramér's V = 0.875), confirming the effect is not random.
*Interest: The model received 326 downloads on HF in its first 8 hours.

This is my small step toward hybrid quantum-classical AI. My goal was to see if quantum noise, harnessed correctly, can become a useful signal.

When I built CropSeek-LLM, the goal was never to push out a model for the sake of saying DARJYO has an agricultural LLM at the G20. That would have been easy.

Seeing CropSeek-LLM now being used across IITs and universities in to build AgriTech applications is not a small moment for me.

This model was built right here on home soil with a very specific view of agricultural intelligence. It had to work closer to the ground, closer to the farmer, closer to the messy realities of climate, crops, pests, soils, and uneven access to resources. It had to be practical, adaptable & it had to be able to travel across borders.

Watching it move into India's academic and innovation ecosystems, and be used by IIT students, researchers, and engineers working on agriculture, is exactly the kind of outcome I hoped for when I started building it.

We’ve watched ideas move from whiteboards to working prototypes, from data curiosity to soil capability. Code met crops and somewhere in between, confidence took root.

To our interns: you showed up, you built, you questioned, and you delivered. That matters because this is the part where you take what you’ve experienced and apply it where it counts, in the field, in the lab, in the systems that will feed the next generation. Until the next.
