There’s only one right way to spend Heritage Day.

Whatever your heritage looks like, the 24th usually ends the same way for most South Africans: gathered around a fire with your favourite people.

We hope that’s exactly how you’re spending today, braai included.

Happy Heritage Day from all of us at Plugged-In Projects.

Meet Kallie, the man behind Plugged-In Projects.

Being outdoors has never just been a hobby for him. He grew up camping and travelling with family, farming and hunting for years, always more comfortable outside than in. That love for the outdoors naturally led him into the industry itself, spending five years running the sole African agency for a well known overlanding brand and learning it inside out.

Then Covid hit, and like it did for so many people, it forced some hard decisions. Instead of standing still, Kallie used that moment to build something of his own. Plugged-In Projects was born in 2025, right here in Derdepoort, Pretoria.

It was a humble start, and in many ways it still is. But we’re growing it our own way, with our own designs, rather than settling for off-the-shelf fitments.
Because at the end of the day, we don’t just sell equipment. We install confidence.

Little by little we grow. Day by day we learn. Never stop.

This is just the start of the story. Follow along to see where it goes.
