Thomson's was established during 1998 when Danie and Isabel Thomson permanently settled in the picturesque town off Sabie; nestled in the mountains of the Mpumalanga Lowveld. The Hardware & Building Supplies division was formed when the family bought the then Sabie Building Supplies out of bankruptcy. le transport became an ever increasing problem; resulting in the family investing in their own fleet of long distance vehicles to satisfy the Company's transport needs. A division supplying round timber to various markets countrywide was since added as well as a Recycling plant, Shaving division and Organic fertilizer manufacturing plant. Thomson's is a major roll player in the pine shaving market; and services customers countrywide. We deliver up to 30 000 bags per month to the chicken, pig and horse sector. Our product is a fluffy kiln dry shaving with medium texture free of harmful pathogens. Loads normally consist of 1300 bags per laod, and is packed in very distinguishable red plastic bags measuring 750 x 1100mm
