Starting a job in January? Book the site pole before the break and it is one less thing to chase.

A single-phase 63A stayed site pole is $600 ex GST for the 12-week minimum hire, with standard-zone delivery from $350 ex GST. Three-phase for the bigger builds is $840 ex GST on the same minimum.

Every pole goes out with the meter box, safety switches and weatherproof outlets fitted, and we lodge the Electrical Work Request with Energex. You call your retailer to open the account.

Tell us the address and the week you want it on site, and we put the delivery date in the book now.

Here is how the job splits. We supply the galvanised pole and the foundation cage, with the bolts pre-set to the certified spec. Your builder or concreter digs the hole and pours the footing to that spec. Once the footing has cured, our crew comes out with the gear and stands the pole.

Our licensed electricians lodge the Connect Application and the Electrical Work Request with Energex on your behalf. Your electrician runs the cable from the pole to the house, and your retailer books the meter.

So the pole half of the job has one supplier behind it, not three. Ask for a fixed-price quote at the link in the comments.

How many portaloos does your event need? Here is the rule of thumb we use.

For a short event of under four hours, where people mostly stay put, plan on one portaloo per 50 guests. For a long one of over six hours with the drinks flowing, plan on one per 25. Council guidelines set the formal minimums, and we can walk you through those too.

Ordering a permanent power pole with a meter box? Ours is wired before it leaves the depot.

Add a meter box to a permanent pole and our licensed electricians wire it on the pole at our depot, before delivery. The pole arrives ready to stand, and there is no second visit to fit the box on site. The photo is one of ours going in, box open for the final connections.

The rest of the job splits the same way as always. We supply the galvanised pole and the foundation cage, lodge the Connect Application and the Electrical Work Request with Energex, and our own crew installs the pole once your footing has cured. Your concreter pours the footing to our spec. Your electrician runs the cable from the pole to the house.
