Sometimes you have to think outside the box a little bit. I but if it matches, it matches.

“How does the fit get on the brick?”
“What are the black spots?”
They are a couple of questions we get asked quite regularly.
It’s a glass based material, whether it be recycled glass or whatever. Bricks are shaped, then prior to firing, the glass is sprinkled on the faces, then once fired, glass softens and melts.
Bricks come out, allowed to cool, glass hardens back up, creating the black spotted effect.

How does a brick come to a be brick?
There are different processes for both extruded and dry pressed bricks. Another process again for sandstocks which I’ll explain another time.

Dig clay → Mix it → Shape it → Dry it → Fire it → Cool it → Pack it.
