We service and repair what we sell, and provide customers with friendly, efficient service. First established as an outdoor power equipment sales and repair business by Trevor Griggs at his family home in 1973, Stihl Shop Huonville has continued to be owned by the same family for over 40 years. The business continued to expand and prosper, eventually moving in 1993 to Main Road, Huonville and in 1999 the custom designed present premises in Wilmot Road, Huonville was built. At this time Trevor’s daughter Julie and her husband Wayne Evans decided to continue the family’s connection with the outdoor power industry, predominately Stihl, and purchased Stihl Shop Huonville. In September 2025, Mick Buick purchased the business from Julie Evans, following her decision to enjoy a very well earned retirement. Stihl Shop Huonville now operates with 4 experienced staff and continue to offer the best products and customer service. We are very proud to be a retailer of the Stihl product line. As an independent Dealer, we provide many services that the only a Stihl specialist servicing dealer can provide. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always ready to help you select the equipment that meets your needs. We can offer fast, professional service for your Stihl equipment after the sale. Your equipment comes fully assembled and ready to use so that you can get started on your tasks as soon as you get home.

This week, Rob and I headed over to Stihl HQ in Victoria for some hands-on training.

Beyond getting a fantastic behind-the-scenes tour of the facility and diving into the rich history of the Stihl brand, we both successfully completed our Stihl Gold Technical training!

This certification covered the latest technical breakthroughs in both petrol and battery-powered products, including M-tronic, Stihl electronic fuel injection as found in the MS 500i, and the ground breaking technology found in the new All Pro battery range.

Outdoor power technology moves fast, and staying at the top of our game is important to us. This training ensures our knowledge stays sharp and relevant, allowing us to continue delivering the absolute best service, advice, and technical support to our customers.

You already had an incredible wealth of skill and knowledge available at Stihl Shop Huonville with Steven and Jason (boasting 70+ years of combined experience)—and now that myself, Rob and Kambel are advancing with our Stihl specific training, our team is even better equipped to look after you.

Whether you need advice on the latest battery tech or servicing for your trusted petrol gear, pop in and see the team.
