What actually happens to a flat roof under wind uplift? 💨
The roofing membrane can bulge upwards under wind load. The resulting forces must be safely transferred through the fastening points into the load-bearing structure.
If the load on an individual fastening point is too high, the system can fail at different points. The correct arrangement of the fasteners and their properties are therefore crucial.
👉 In our carousel, we show how wind uplift affects the roof system, where potential weak points can occur and what mechanical fastening needs to achieve.
Our product recommendation: Stress plate HTK-2G + pre-assembled DABO® screw TKR-4.8 in case-hardened steel with Climadur coating or TKE-4.8 in A4 stainless steel.
