Glasroc® X Sheathing Board has undergone testing to assess performance under extended external exposure conditions. Results demonstrate that, when installed in line with manufacturer guidance, the board can withstand temporary exposure of up to 12 months prior to façade completion.

Independent testing included hygrothermal stress testing and 12 months of field exposure across five countries, with temperatures ranging from -23°C to +47°C.

Testing confirmed key performance properties were maintained following exposure.

Designed for lightweight façade systems, Glasroc X provides external sheathing applications across high-rise buildings and residential projects.

Updated Fire-Rated Junctions: Best Practice Guidance (BPG004) ‼️

We have updated our Fire-Rated Junctions: Best Practice Guidance (BPG004) to include new fire test evidence for our internal partition to external façade junctions.

The update draws on our latest ad-hoc fire resistance testing using the principles of BS EN 1364-1, to assess performance at the junction as an integrated assembly rather than each system in isolation.

What’s new:
✅Test evidence for GypWall Twin Frame Braced partitions to GypLyner Xternal SFS external wall junctions
✅Configurations reflecting typical site conditions
✅ Fire resistance performance of up to 90 minutes (for systems tested)

This extended scope provides additional technical insight to support evidence-based design decisions, alongside project-specific requirements.

Yesterday we demonstrated spraying Thistle plasters to colleagues from across the industry at the East Leake Build Better Academy.

The session gave attendees the opportunity to ask questions, discuss the benefits and types of jobs suited to spray, and to see a demonstration - from mixing through to cleaning the machine. The team stepped aside while attendees had a go themselves and experienced how spraying Thistle MultiFinish can support productivity, well-being, and apprentices as they enter the trade.

It was incredible to see attendees getting hands-on experience, as well as hearing conversations flow about innovation and the future of plaster.

Thanks to everyone who attended, and we look forward to meeting more people at our roadshows across the country.
