Building better communities isn’t just something we talk about, it’s something we do.

Throughout 2025, our teams at British Gypsum have worked alongside incredible local partners to create meaningful social and environmental impact in the communities connected to our sites. From volunteering time and sharing expertise to providing materials and funding, we’re proud to support initiatives that tackle inequality, promote wellbeing, and strengthen inclusion.

We’re honoured to continue our work with CRASH, the UK construction charity, helping deliver vital spaces for homelessness charities, hospices, and projects like DIY S.O.S.

As part of Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions, we’re united by a shared purpose: Making the World A Better Home.

Take a look at what we achieved together in 2025, and here’s to building even stronger, more resilient communities in 2026.

No standard test method? We built a robust approach grounded in BS EN principles.

There’s currently no recognised fire test method for most drylining junctions – yet the interface between fire-rated elements is critical to maintain compartmentation performance. That gap demanded a more rigorous approach.

So, we developed one.

Our fire resistance tests follow the principles of BS EN 1364 1, BS EN 1364 2 and BS EN 13381 4, adapted to replicate the complex geometries you encounter on real projects.

We tested:
• Partition corners
• Partition T-Junctions
• Partition to column encasement systems
• Beams offset from partitions
• Partitions to ceiling lid junctions

Each test was designed to reflect common installation challenges and the interactions between systems – giving the industry practical, evidence based guidance where none previously existed.

We’re at The Fire Safety Event at the NEC, Birmingham from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 April. Visit stand 4/D103 to meet the team.

Plus, on Wednesday 29 April at 3.30pm in the Innovation Theatre Coral Morgan, Head of Fire Protection and Insulation Solutions, James McLavy, Head of Technical Customer Solutions, Francesca Burkey, Senior Systems Designer and Robert Evans, Fire and Technical Engineer will discuss Closing the Evidence Gap in Fire-Rated Junctions.
