Today, on International HR Day, I want to take a moment to recognise and thank all HR professionals for the incredible work they do every day. ๐

"I undertook a Business Studies degree at university, and I really enjoyed the HR focused modules the most. I then completed my placement year in a HR role where I got exposure to the full HR Generalist role and saw how HR works in practice. Iโve always enjoyed helping people and HR gave me the opportunity to do that while also supporting the business." - Beatriz James

"Having started my career in events, Iโve always enjoyed working with people, which is what led me into HR 3.5 years ago. Since then, itโs shown me how rewarding it is to be in a role thatโs so central to the day-to-day running of a business. Every day brings different challenges, and problem solving is a big part of what I enjoy most. Whether itโs supporting employees through challenges, helping managers find solutions, or improving processes behind the scenes, I like being able to take a practical approach and make things easier for people." - Emily Thomas

"I like being able to support people and make a positive difference in their working lives. I enjoy helping employees, dealing with challenges, and being part of creating a good workplace culture. Itโs rewarding knowing you can support employees while also helping the business more forward strategically. I also like that no two days are the same in HR, and thereโs always something new to learn and develop." - Beatriz James
"Iโm passionate about changing the perception of HR - putting a face to the role, building relationships, and helping people understand why we do what we do. Since joining FAAC in July last year, I hope thatโs something Iโve started to bring to the business. I have also recently trained as a Mental Health First Aider, which Iโm really looking forward to putting into practice to further support employee wellbeing and hopefully make a positive difference."- Emily Thomas
