The Clemson Shotgun Team wrapped up an incredible week at the 2026 ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Championships, and it’s hard to put into words just how special this trip was.
From a 16+ hour drive each way, to staying in hotels and Airbnbs, to spending our spring break together as a team—this week was about so much more than competition. It was about building friendships, strengthening our team culture, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Long days on the range, early mornings, and plenty of laughs in between—this group truly represented what it means to be a team.
Competing against 107 teams and 1,186 athletes from across the country, Clemson showed up in a big way. Our shooters competed at a high level all week, and we couldn’t be more proud of the grit, focus, and sportsmanship they displayed.
The final day shoot-offs were especially exciting, with THREE of our shooters finishing in the top 3 across multiple events:
🏆 Huge congratulations to senior Dylan Wood for bringing home the National Championship in Men’s S***t Doubles!
🥉 Georgia Kennedy (Freshman) – 3rd Place, Class A Ladies S***t
🥉 Anneleise Phinney (Freshman) – 3rd Place, Class A Ladies S***t Doubles
We also want to take a moment to recognize our seniors who made their final trip to Nationals this week. Your leadership, mentorship, and commitment to this team have left a lasting impact. You’ve helped build something special here at Clemson, and your influence will carry forward with the next generation of shooters.
This week was a perfect example of what Clemson Shotgun is all about—competition, camaraderie, and representing our university the right way.
We’re proud of this team. Until next year, go tigers! 🧡💜🤍
