FS 2.0 is by far one of the most versatile spray foam products on the market. Extensively tested and fully code certified, it can be applied directly as a spray foam insulation everywhere SPF can be used, but is also approved for use over both thermoplastics (EPS, XPS, TPU) and thermosets (PU, SPF, Polyiso). This means our fully NFPA 275 certified fire protection is applicable for any job through either direct application, or a hybrid system - all while still providing the traditional SPF benefits of air and v***r barrier, structural stability, and R-value.

Something all sprayers should always keep a close eye on is the amount of moisture in the air - and how close it is to condensation.

As a general rule, no foam spraying should be done when the ambient temperature is within 5 degrees of the dew point. And when relative humidity is above 80% spray foam applications must be monitored and inspected frequently to insure proper foam application. These sort of conditions - especially when a job site is both within 5 degrees of dew point and above 80% humidity - drastically increase the chances of the substrate being moist. A wet substrate or too much water in the air will greatly affect the final product, and can lead to multiple issues including complete application failure.

Liquid temperatures are a key factor when it comes to spraying good quality foam. Too hot or too cold and it comes out wrong - potentially to disastrous results! On top of that job-site variables like ambient and substrate temperatures mean a sprayer has to stay on top of their temps in order to produce proper insulation.

Remember to always check manufacturer's product specs for their foam's proper temperature range and best application tips!
