THE PROJECT EDIT. | THE FLOOR IS PART OF THE FUN.

Neon lights. Bowling lanes. Electric blue lines running across the floor.

At The Fun Company, in The Zone @ Rosebank mall, there's plenty happening above floor level. But take a look down, and you'll see that the flooring is part of the experience too.

Polysales supplied Polyflor Palettone PUR and Polysafe Standard PUR for this vibrant entertainment space.

The dark flooring and bold geometric detailing complement the lighting and interior design, while the products bring different performance benefits to a venue built for activity.

And that's where choosing the right flooring really matters.

A space like this needs more than something that looks good on opening day. It needs practical solutions suited to the way people move, play and use the space every day.

Beautifully installed by one of our recommended flooring contractors.

Does every project need acoustic flooring?

Not necessarily — and that is perfectly fine.

The best specification starts with understanding what the space needs. If acoustic performance is part of the brief, choosing a flooring solution designed to help reduce impact sound transmission can make a meaningful difference.

19dB impact sound reduction. What does that actually mean?

For Fusionline Acoustic PUR, the 19dB figure refers to its tested ability to reduce the transmission of impact sound through a floor construction.

It's not the same as occupational noise exposure measurements, which is an important distinction when specifying acoustic flooring.

How a space sounds, matters.

When we think about interior design, we often focus on what we can see: colour, texture, lighting, furniture and finishes.

But in shared environments, everyday sounds such as footsteps, moving furniture, closing doors and activity in communal spaces can all affect comfort.

That’s why acoustics deserves a place in the design conversation from the very beginning.
