They influence how much heat, glare, and UV radiation enters your home every single day.

Standard windows allow large amounts of UV light to pass through the glass, gradually fading timber floors, furniture, curtains, artwork, and other interior finishes.
That's why the quality of the glass is just as important as the frame.

Our windows feature Low-E glass with a specialised coating applied to both sides of the glazing unit. This helps reduce UV transmission by up to 90%, providing greater protection for the things you've invested in.

The dual Low-E coating also works year-round to improve comfort. In winter, it reflects heat back into your home instead of letting it escape through the glass. In summer, it helps reduce excessive solar heat gain and overheating.

We recently attended the local Passive House meeting at a beautiful new build in Christchurch, where Koffman European windows were installed throughout the home.

For a window to work as intended, it needs to sit within the thermal line of the wall, not just fixed into the opening. The frame and the insulation layer should align and connect.

This Fendalton project is one of them.
